“Jen”eral Manager,
Jen Rethy!
Jennifer’s the kind of person who lights up a room. Or in our case, the whole Victoria Pier! She’s all about good chats, big laughs, and making sure everyone leaves with a smile (and a full belly).
Outside of work, she’s a busy mom to three awesome girls (you might see a few working here at the Lobster Barn as well!) and a few four-legged friends named Goose, Louie and Tobin. Life’s never boring, just the way Jen likes it! On top of running the show here, she also manages our sister spot Coach’s Restaurant and Sports Bar in Charlottetown. Whether it’s seaside eats or game day bites, she’s got it covered.
When she’s not holding down the fort at The Lobster Barn, Jennifer’s off chasing new adventures. She’s a big fan of hopping on a plane, diving into new cultures, and trying whatever local dish is on the menu. Jen is always planning her next trip.
Around here, Jennifer keeps the energy high and the vibes fun. Stop by The Lobster Barn, chances are she’ll be here, making sure you’re having the best time.
Head Chef,
Michael McPhail
Mike’s the guy running the show in our kitchen and trust us, you’re in good hands. With five dogs, a wonderful wife, and a serious love for food, he brings warmth, energy, and a whole lot of skill to every dish that leaves the pass.
Originally from Sudbury, Ontario, Mike switched gears from tech to food back in 2000. He went to culinary school, earned his Red Seal in 2003, and has been perfecting his craft ever since , from Ontario kitchens to right here in PEI. He’s also the Executive Chef over at our sister location, Coach’s Restaurant and Sports Bar in Charlottetown!
He’s big on keeping things REAL: scratch-made, locally sourced, and packed with flavour.
At The Lobster Barn, Mike’s all about showing off the best of the Island with fresh, honest food that speaks for itself.
Come give it a try! You won’t be disappointed!
