Mike, Head Chef

I was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario.  After downsizing in the tech sector in 2000, I decided to go back to school and explore an interest in the Culinary world. After graduating and some extensive work experience, I attained my Red Seal to become a chef in 2003. Working in a variety of restaurants from Ontario to PEI, I continue to expand a solid foundation of knowledge and experience in the Culinary Industry.  The most influencing factor to my approach was learning to do as much as possible from scratch with fresh local ingredients and be as authentic as can be. Taking on the Lobster Barn, I wanted to use fresh local ingredients and suppliers of PEI, to give a fun and authentic maritime experience.
